Rafting in Nikko
Cold days are ending and little by little the days are getting longer. We are enjoying the good weather, and soon we will be able to have fun in the river.
Join us at NAOC, our Kinugawa Base, and go white water rafting down the river. You will be surrounded by the beautiful scenery of Kinugawa, and get wet in the splashing water on this adventure that everyone can join!

Festival Nocturno de Sakura – Flor de Cerezo
Si bien se presentan muchos inconvenientes para viajar en este momento debido al Coronavirus, todavía continuan realizándose algunos eventos. Ha habido un cambio en el “Festival Nocturno de Flor de Cerezo” en Kinugawa Onsen, pero que si estás planeando un viaje cerca de la zona, no dejes de pasar!
La nueva fecha será del 3 de abril (viernes) al 7 de abril (martes), en el horario de 18:30 a 21.
Los árboles de Sakura estarán iluminados por la noche como en años anteriores, pero no habrá escenario, ni actuaciones, ni cena de Hanami Bento. Aún así, todavía podrás disfrutar del hermosa sakura bajo el cielo nocturno de Kinugawa.

鬼怒川温泉地区では梅の花が綺麗に咲いています。
朝にはウグイスの鳴き声が聞こえます。
そう、春が近いことを実感します。
日中、上着は脱ぎ捨ててしまう程の暖かさ・・・
こんなに暖かいと川遊びをしたくなります。
シーズンインが待ち遠しいです。

Gouhanshiki, the Ceremony of Rice Eating
So let’s talk about another interesting ceremony for you to enjoy, if you are in Nikko area in April.
In this ceremony, called Gouhanshiki (or Rice Eating) people are forced to eat a large amount of rice. By doing that, it is believed that the blessing of Buddha will immediately eradicate the Seven Major Misfortunes such as fire, floods, devils, etc., and the people will receive the Seven Major Fortunes.
It is said that even feudal lords such as the Tokugawa Shogun Families and other famous feudal lords across Japan joined this ceremony in the Edo period.

Fun day with friends from all over the world
Mexico, Germany, Peru… we had a great Saturday discovering Nikko! We started the day enjoying Oku-Nikko and its amazing scenery. Yumoto Onsen, Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls and so much more.
After a delicious soba lunch, we started our afternoon adventure: cycling all the way to Kanmangafuchi abyss, and then completed the day with a walk around the World Heritage area, with plenty of time to visit the Shrines and Temples.

Special Hanami Cycling Tour 2020
Make the most of a day out in the lush mountain town of Nikko, and enjoy with us a trip riding through this city and its blossomed cherry trees!
We will spend around 3.5 hours visiting the oldest sakura trees in the area, and finally enjoy a typical picnic under the sakura trees to end the day.
